Sports Day

Last Friday, my school had Sports Day. I was really excited because I was in Red house and we lost twice in a row to blue house and I wanted to prove that Red house can get 1st. So, the event started out with a mass participation jog by every house. Well, I wanted to say it started out well. The truth was not so kind. I got pushed purposely by a blue house member. I fell really, really hard on my right knee and scraped my elbow. My knee screamed with pain and I was sent to the nurse. If it wasn't for my brother and his friend Derrick, I would have got trampled by hundreds of pupils. They helped me go to the nurses room. The nurse put a cold compress on my knee, which lessened the pain. Even so, I was not going to give up and I wanted to prove that I can continue.

So, I took part in Kickball, Sockball and Run The Gauntlet. I can say that my team in all these events were amazingly good. Kickball is basically football and baseball. It is mostly baseball, except that you have to kick a big, rubber ball. My knee protested me to stop but I kept on going.

Sockball was really fun and we trashed all the other teams. It is like netball, only that the ball is a small, rubber ball wrapped in a long football sock. It was awesome

I didn't take part in Benchball, but I tried to help my team because we were losing terribly. Yes!!! I managed to help them from last place to second place. Benchball is basically like captains ball, only that the catcher is standing on a bench.

My team won all the events I and my brother took part in, maybe except Benchball.

When they were announcing the places, I hoped that we got 1st.

 Aw man!!! We got second. We lost to blue house(again!) by only 4 points. 4 POINTS!!!!

It was really fun, but I was badly injured, and now I can barely walk.
